This cube sculpture located on Astor Place, in the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City. One of downtown’s most recognizable symbols, the Astor Place "Cube" has presided over the traffic island at the intersection of Astor Place and Lafayette Street since 1967, when it was installed as a temporary public art installation. Over the years, it's become a popular meeting spot (and a hangout spot for students on clement days).
It is a black cube, 8 feet (2.4 m) long on each side, mounted on a corner. The cube is made of Cor-Ten steel and weighs about 1,800 pounds (820 kg). The faces of the cube are not flat but have various indentations, protrusions, and ledges.
We can offer lots of corten steel sculptures, like this alamo sculpture. It has outstanding visual expression. The rusted steel plate will change with time. Its color brightness and saturation are higher than the general building materials, so it is easy to highlight in the background of garden plants. In addition, the rough surface caused by steel plate corrosion makes its structure more volume and quality.
